Context

A professional services firm consolidating into three floors of a City building. Meeting room technology had been left as a contractor provisional sum, with no agreed standard and no allowance for the ceiling and power coordination the rooms would need.

What Sysflex did

Sysflex was appointed by the occupier at RIBA Stage 3 to define a room standard by space type, coordinate the requirements with the architect and M&E team, and set out what the fit-out contractor had to provide against what the AV specialist would supply.

Outcome

Fourteen spaces delivered to one standard, with a single support arrangement and a room-by-room responsibility matrix that removed the usual arguments at commissioning.
