Our Group
Choose one specialist for a defined requirement, or engage the group when the project needs joined-up thinking.
What technology decisions belong at each RIBA stage, what Sysflex produces, and what the project team receives.
HOW WE WORK
The challenge
Technology is one of the few parts of a building without a widely understood position in the RIBA framework. Architects, M&E consultants and cost managers all know what they owe at Stage 3. Technology tends to appear as a provisional sum at Stage 4 and a specialist package at Stage 5, with no agreed deliverables before that.
Mapping technology to the stages the rest of the team already works to removes the ambiguity. Everyone can see what should exist by when, what decision each output supports, and where the gaps are on their own project.
What Sysflex does
Stages 0 to 1 produce the technology brief: vision, stakeholders, outcomes and initial requirements.
Stages 2 to 4 produce the concept strategy and tender package: architecture, principles, budgets, interfaces and procurement information.
Stages 5 to 7 produce the handover record and operations roadmap: assurance, commissioning, acceptance and lifecycle improvement.
Outcomes
✓ A clear answer to what technology information should exist at each stage of the project.
✓ Deliverables that fit the programme the rest of the professional team already works to.
✓ An honest view of what is still recoverable when a project is already past the ideal stage.
Across the project
The map works from any starting point. It is as useful for checking what is missing at Stage 4 as for planning from Stage 0.
