Our Group
Choose one specialist for a defined requirement, or engage the group when the project needs joined-up thinking.
Making separately procured systems work as one, with the interfaces, responsibilities and testing defined in advance.
WHAT WE DO
01
Interface register
02
Responsibility matrix
03
Protocol alignment
04
Test plan
The challenge
Integration failures are rarely technical. A door controller, a video platform and a booking system each do what the specification asked, but nobody agreed who provides the interface between them, who tests it, or who is responsible when it stops working after a firmware update. The gap shows up at commissioning, when the programme has no room left.
Treating integration as its own workstream, with named owners for each interface and a test plan written before installation, turns a recurring source of disputes into a set of checkable items.
What Sysflex does
Map every system that must exchange data or control, and establish what each interface has to achieve.
Assign ownership of each interface to a named package, and align the specifications and protocols on both sides.
Test each interface against the plan at commissioning and record the result before handover is accepted.
Outcomes
✓ A responsibility matrix that tells every supplier exactly where their scope ends.
✓ Interface problems found during testing rather than during the first week of occupation.
✓ An integration record the facilities team can use when systems are upgraded later.
Across the project
Engage by Stage 3, before packages are tendered and interface responsibility is set by omission.
01
RIBA 0 – 1
Identify which outcomes depend on systems working together rather than individually.
02
RIBA 2 – 4
Specify the interfaces, assign them to packages and write the test plan that will prove them.
03
RIBA 5
Coordinate the suppliers through installation, run the interface tests and resolve what fails.
04
RIBA 6 – 7
Maintain the interface record as systems are patched, replaced or extended.
Specialist delivery
The group defines the requirement. Our specialist brands provide the detailed design, delivery and support.
Provides the network and identity layer that almost every interface crosses.
Integrates room, signage and collaboration platforms with booking, calendar and directory systems.
Connects access control, video and intercom with building and IT systems under agreed data rules.
