Our Group
Choose one specialist for a defined requirement, or engage the group when the project needs joined-up thinking.
Agreeing what the technology in a building has to achieve, and who is responsible for delivering it, while the design still has room to absorb the answer.

The challenge
On most projects the technology brief arrives late and in pieces, from whoever asks first. A room schedule assumes a screen size. An M&E package assumes a containment route. A tender assumes a support model nobody has agreed. By the time those assumptions meet each other the drawings are fixed, and changing them costs real money.
The people who inherit the consequences are the ones who inherit the building: the occupier whose meeting rooms do not suit how they work, the facilities team handed four suppliers and no single escalation route, the project manager absorbing variations that were avoidable. A building technology strategy settles the intent early, so later packages are written against decisions rather than assumptions.
What Sysflex does
Establish the operational outcomes, the users and the constraints, and turn them into a requirement the design team can work to.
Align IT, AV, security and building systems with the architecture, M&E and interiors, and set out who owns each interface.
Carry the strategy into procurement, commissioning and handover, so what was agreed is what gets delivered.
Outcomes
✓ A single technology requirement the whole project team works from, rather than three partial versions.
✓ Fewer late variations, because power, containment, ceilings and acoustics are coordinated while the drawings can still change.
✓ A defined support and ownership position at handover, so the building runs properly from day one.
Across the project
Most valuable at Stages 0 to 2 while the brief is still being written, though a strategy can be established at any point the project needs one agreed position.
01
RIBA 0 – 1
Set the technology ambition alongside the business case and identify the decisions that must be made before design begins.
02
RIBA 2 – 4
Translate the strategy into requirements, coordinate them with the design team and agree the procurement route.
03
RIBA 5
Hold the strategy through tender, installation and commissioning, and resolve interface changes as they arise.
04
RIBA 6 – 7
Review how the building performs against the original intent and feed that into the next phase of work.
Specialist delivery
The group defines the requirement. Our specialist brands provide the detailed design, delivery and support.
Provides the network, connectivity and identity foundation the rest of the strategy depends on.
Turns the workplace and meeting room intent into spaces people can actually use.
Delivers access control and surveillance as part of the building rather than as a separate system.
